[Resource] Factorisation by Common Factors
[Resource] Factorisation by Special Products
The following clip shows how to factorise quadratic expressions that could be 'derived' from the special Algebraic Identities (or we call them "Special Products" here).
Our focus would be the product of the difference, i.e. (A + B)(A - B) = A^2 - B^2
[Group Work] Algebra Factorisation - Special Product (A+B)(A-B)
ALL group members will complete the collections assigned.
Insert Your Name and REMEMBER to label the Question clearly.
e.g. 1A for collection 1, type A

[On Your Own] Percentages in News Reports (18 April 2022) "same same yet different" 🤔
On 18 April 2022, major news agencies reported that Singapore Airlines has made big jumps in terms of the passengers load, compared to last year's performance (2021).
Percentages and Percentage Points were used widely in the reporting.
- ChannelNewsAsia: Big jump in SIA Group's passenger traffic; capacity expected to reach 61% of pre-COVID levels by May
- The Straits Times: Passenger numbers surge for SIA in March from a year ago as travel restrictions ease
- Is there any "discrepancy" in the reporting?
- Is there any recommendation if you have a say in the way the figures are reported?
- Can you identify that? What's that information when expressed in percentage?
- Do you understand what it means?
